Alaska Airlines Kodiak Airport Upgrades Progressing

Cornerstone performed a major renovation of the Alaska Airlines terminal at the Kodiak Airport. While maintaining operations, the team completed phased demolition, systems upgrades, and reconfiguration of interior spaces to include: ticketing, TSA passenger and baggage screening, restrooms, tenant spaces, the lobby, hold rooms, and other support areas. Exterior improvements include damaged siding replacement, new durable exterior paint finish in airline colors, new ADA compliant ramp and entry stairs, new energy efficient doors and windows, and new overhead doors in the cargo area. Temporary facilities were created throughout the terminal to preserve the passenger experience during construction.

In addition, the team completed trenching through the airfield for new services, the structural elements of the project were approved, interior wall finishes are underway, and new men’s and women’s restrooms were turned over for use.
