UAA Alaska Airlines Center Opens

Cornerstone is proud to announce the completion of the new UAA Alaska Airlines Center, a world class sports arena and venue for university and community events. The new 200,000 GSF arena features the following:

• seating for 5,600 spectators in a main performance gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, graduations, and other events
• a separate gymnastic training facility
• an 800-seat gymnastics performance and multiple court auxiliary gymnasium
• multiple support spaces consisting of a fitness and training room, student recreation fitness room, administration and coaches offices, laundry facilities, and audio/visual productio
• locker rooms for basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, hockey, skiing, track, and cross country programs
• a new 150-seat restaurant

The 27 month project involved nearly 100 team member firms including designers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
