DESCRIPTION

Cornerstone collaborated with AMC Engineers (as Prime) for PAMC’s new 25,000 SF emergency power supply building, which provides priority power back-up generation to the hospital campus in the event of a widespread power outage impacting the U-Med District.

The four story building contains two vertical fuel storage tanks totaling 100,000 gallons, has 55’ tall pre-cast panels, three types of fire suppression systems, and an arc explosion ducting to direct all electrical plasma explosions out of the building. Most noticeable inside are the four 2000KW Caterpillar Generators capable of a total electrical generating capacity of 8000KW or enough power to supply PAMC’s main campus for an entire week without replenishment in the event of most natural disasters.
