West/Romig CTE Finished On Time
December 18, 2015
Cornerstone is pleased to announce the on time, on budget completion of the Anchorage School District’s West High School/Romig Middle School CTE Renovation and Addition project. This complex project featured major improvements in two connected school facilities that remained fully operational throughout the construction period.
At West High School, the existing “Cove” structure was demolished to construct a 28,000 SF two-story addition that added 12 new Career and Technical Education (CTE) classrooms specifically dedicated to digital media, health sciences, and process technologies curriculum. At Romig Middle School, an existing corridor at the rear of the building (used to access the shared West/Romig library) was repurposed, with new construction adding an 8,000 SF one-story addition with three new classrooms featuring shop, business management, and consumer sciences curriculum.
