Cornerstone worked with Stantec on the New Homer Police & Public Safety Building completed in Summer of 2020. This Design-Build project brings years of planning and voting to replace the existing 1980’s era building to fruition. Cornerstone continued its long-standing relationship with the City of Homer and worked diligently to meet Police Department requirements in service to the Homer community.

Camp Singing Hills is a 40-acre Girl Scout property located in Chugiak on Edmonds Lake. The primary structure was destroyed by a fire in 2009 and in 2010, project teams came together to consult with girls, adult volunteers, and board members to determine the camp features and facilities that would best serve Alaska’s girls.

Cornerstone collaborated with MRV Architects in Kodiak for this new single story 16,000 SF community library. In addition to an adult stacks area, the library includes separate areas for young adults and children including a crafts room.

Cornerstone is currently serving as the Design-Builder and collaborating with Nvision Architecture and Anchorage Gospel Rescue Mission Board of Directors on the renovation and addition of the shelter that focuses on sobriety and emergency housing, food, fellowship, job support, and rehabilitation. Construction is expected to be completed in 2023.

Cornerstone is currently leading a Design-Build team in renovating and expanding the Abused Women In Aid (AWAIC) shelter. The renovated facility will feature an additional 7,000 SF of space for donation processing, meeting areas, workshops; 15 additional beds; 6 new program offices; 3 new bedrooms; and 3 new intake rooms.
