DESCRIPTION
Cornerstone collaborated with ECI/Hyer for this three-phased project with complex sequencing for a new teaching and research laboratory building designed to consolidate existing science teaching and laboratory facilities.
This state-of-the-art building houses instructional and research laboratories, plus modern classrooms for lab-based science programs such as Astronomy, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, and other degree-seeking fields. The building also houses analytical labs, an auditorium, planetarium, and a vivarium.
This project was fast-tracked with early site, civil, and steel packages. Value engineering efforts during Pre-construction resulted in a detailed list of 27 recommendations worth more than $7M.
