DESCRIPTION

Cornerstone was selected by Alaska Airlines, as part of its Alaska Facilities Reinvestment program, for a major renovation of their 12,500 SF terminal in Kodiak. While maintaining operations, the team completed phased demolitions phased demolition, systems upgrades, and reconfiguration of interior spaces to include: ticketing, TSA passenger and baggage screening, restrooms, tenant spaces, the lobby, hold rooms, and other support areas. Exterior improvements include damaged siding replacement, new durable exterior paint finish in airline colors, new ADA compliant ramp and entry stairs, new energy efficient doors and windows, and new overhead doors in the cargo area. Temporary facilities have been created throughout the terminal to preserve the passenger experience during construction.

The team completed trenching thorugh the airfeild for new services, the structual elements of the project were approves, interior wall finishes, and turned over new men's and women's restrooms for use. This complex renovation within a functiong airport terminal was completed in May 2017.
