Description

Cornerstone teamed with RIM Architects for complex renovation and expansion of the state’s flagship academic library, which serves both the University of Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Pacific University.

The project included HAZMAT abatement and a major precision renovation of the existing 87,000 SF library, as well as a modern 126,000 SF addition. Work was coordinated to provide continued use of the existing Consortium Library building, modified and upgraded to meet the requirements of future library operations.

This project was awarded the 2004 AGC Excellence in Construction Award for Meeting the Challenge of a Job over $5 Million.
