Cornerstone Awarded Homer Public Safety Building Project
April 1, 2014
The City of Homer selected Cornerstone, in collaboration with an architecture and engineering team from USKH, for the design and construction of a new Public Safety Building. The project, which follows the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) project delivery method, will lead to a new state-of-the-art facility to house Homer’s police and fire departments.
Cornerstone is excited to work again in Homer, where it completed a major expansion to the South Peninsula Hospital in 2007.
“Sometimes the timing is just right,” said Joe Jolley, President of Cornerstone. “We were able to assemble exactly the team we wanted and I think our enthusiasm and experience with collaborative processes really shined. We’re excited to help transform the public safety capabilities of such a great Alaskan community.”
