Description

Cornerstone and CITC successfully negotiated Phase 1 of the CITC Headquarters Renovation as a continuation of the work performed on their Annex Building. Phase 1 consisted of a 4,200 SF renovation to the Child & Family Services area on 1st Floor. This area required removal of nearly all existing finishes including walls, ceilings, and flooring. A new design layout incorporating on open office with private visitation and conference rooms was constructed using modern methods and materials. Significant upgrades to the electrical and data services were included with new floor boxes installed throughout. Future expansion was allowed through minor adjustments in conduit and raceway sizing (at no additional cost).

The selected area was to serve as a basis of design for the other future renovations elsewhere in the building. Special acoustical ceiling tiles and a sound masking system were installed to help control distractions and provide additional speech privacy. Phase 1 also included renovation of the core spaces of the Employment Training and Services Department on 3rd Floor. Work included new floor and wall finishes, a new reception desk, and new casework throughout. Since E&T Services receives hundreds of visitors daily, we worked closely with the owner to schedule most of the work during a weekend, which required just one day of disruption. Our proposed team is currently completing a partial renovation of the 2nd Floor.
